THE ONGOING PAIN OF WAR

SINCE MARCH OF 2003 THERE HAVE BEEN 3290 DEATHS OF AMERICAN SERVICE PERSONNEL AND 24,645 WOUNDED.

This is a completely different type of war than any our country has been engaged in. Our enemy is hard to distinguish. Our enemy doesn't mind blowing themselves up for their cause. Our enemy is being fed sophisticated weapons from their Allies. Our enemies also have no compunction about blowing up their own countrymen.

With no end in sight. With our political parties tugging in different directions, it is time people take stock of their choices. The DRP party will put an end to all of this. We will foster peace, negotiations, compromise. We will mind our own business and stay in our own territory where there is A multitude of worthy causes that could use the billions we are spending.

Yes, we are in it and there is no turning back now. Having been in World War 2, I hate war! It is easy for anyone who has not been exposed to the terrors of war to say, "we must stick it out, we cannot leave". Guess what, at this point I agree. However, we never should have been there in the first place under the guise of searching for weapons of mass destruction since they did not exist. The lives of our young ones are too precious to waste them on wars.

Now we have new problems. Countries that hate us are developing nuclear capabilities. All we need is another mad man and the world can be blown up. And that my friends is where the DRP comes in. We will negotiate our differences. We will choose charm (and bribery) instead of weapons. We will spend money to feed and house the poor, educate the children, and if there is a surplus, we will also help others off our shores.

In 2008 you will have a choice. As we see it, you really don't! We are the only sensible choice. We will run the best Government money can buy.
